This leather and African glass necklace is perfect for the guy who loved the beach or boho lifestyle. The simple lines of the necklace are perfect for wearing with a tee shirt or with a button down shirt. He can wear it solo or layered.

This is a very unique necklace where the glass bead looks like beach glass, but is actually made from recycled bottles in Ghana. You can choose your length of the necklace, color of the bead (green or blue) and the color of the leather cord (black, dark brown, light brown). Leather cord is 2mm and glass beads is about 14mm. The closure is a wooden bead and loop. These glass beads are not smooth and have a rough texture bases on how they are made. Every bead varies slightly in shape and markings as they are hand-made, they are porous and have a rustic look/feel. This means each necklace is one of a kind!

Never heard of African glass? These recycled glass beads are made by an indigenous people in Ghana, Africa. The glass itself is derived from a variety of recycled sources including old beverage and medicine bottles. The procedure for making the beads consists of a number of steps. Powder glass beads are made by crushing glass to a fine powder and poured into molds with a cassava leaf stem used to make the hole. When they are then baked in the oven, the glass fuses and the cassava stem burns up.
